awesomness. so while i was down in peru i was interviewed by COSAS magazine, this very cool magazine that is distributed everywhere in peru and has fashion and social scene articles.

it was all very exciting and for days wondered what they were gonna make of the interview.
it came out very wonderful, i was so freaken excited :) you can check out and read them in my flickr by clicking here.

if you’re in south america, go get a copy! its still on the shelves for another week. that magazine is everywhere, too. also, once i get it in the mail i will post the scans ;)

i don’t feel 24 at all. can’t believe i am only one day away from officially becoming 24, and closer to a quarter of a century.
with age comes wisdom, so with grace i embrace my years…. but i do not feel my age for some reason. i feel both younger and older…. odd, i know.

so, why am i up at 2:30 am, when i have a photo shoot the next day at 8:30am? well i just thought i would write some last words before i engage on the busy weekend.

since this week (and last) had been slow, i was starting to worry. but then, SURPRISE! on wednesday evening, ladies and gentlemen, i booked 3 jobs for the next two days. :)
about time dammit! i hadn’t worked for over a week! – except i was at home doing major cleaning, and doing some graphic and web design.

wow, march and april were INTENSE!

i have not even had time to write, but it all meant i had some amazing jobs. partly i did not write because my internet at home has been very very unreliable (so slow, i cannot even upload pictures anymore), and the other, main reason, because i was just completely overbooked. which was nice.

some of the work i did in april include:

a lamborghini commercial
a photo shoot with paris hilton
a national commercial for mercedes-benz for italy
a fashion show live on KTLA

and i was a principal in all these things, and i got taft harley’d too :) so now i’m a SAG member woohoo!

i got these new pics in today, and uploaded some on my website. it was from a shoot in february, before my last haircut with fuller bangs. i was not completely blown away by them, but i think they are pretty good. i was a tiny little bit disappointed by my stare in some of the pictures (i had a terrible flu), next time i will try something else, something completely different.
i really love the make up and hair :) good team.

today was wonderful and a very successful shoot! i got to shoot for hitch couture (finally). owner/designer jeanne, photographer jon ryan, and well, me – rocking shoot. jeanne’s french husband and john’s assistant/friend were there as well. he baked cookies for me which i will always be thankful for. then we all (well, most) took turns and jumped for the camera.

gosh i love small crew shoots. so kickback, relaxing, and the best part is people usually always mess around – and thus create unique work. just take a look at the pictures so you can see whatimtalkinbout.
after the shoot, we ate pizza, and i went shopping in jeanne’s hitch couture trailer store. i got two shirts, one of which is now one of my favorites. it says la petite mort.

so yesterday i got a call. it was a direct booking yay! (that’s when you get a booking/job without having had to go to an audition, they pick you from your photos and resume or agency).

it was for a music video, for “switches”, a band from london, signed with interscope. they are awesome and i like their music. it’s actually my type of music. www.switchesmusic.co.uk
my role was going to be “miss brazil”. i guess there was no miss peru, or miss italy haha. anyway, good pay, and a large production. the production manager said it would be very fun. so i said hell yes.

i asked when the shoot was. she said TUESDAY. uh oh….. i have a photoshoot for hitch couture… i was double booked. once again [i was triple booked in one day in january. IT SUCKS]
i called jeanne. she was in a great mood. i begged her to please please move the shoot. (just really want to do both jobs). i thought it would not hurt to ask. she was so nice, she said she was gonna try to move it. so today she texted me and said the shoot will be later this week, either wed or fri. thank you j! seriously how cool is she.

adam, our kitty leona, and me went to the fitting (where i try the outfit i will wear for the shoot) for my role as miss brazil earlier tonight. i also got the call sheet. all i’m gonna say, is that i will be wearing a green and gold ensemble of a dress and jewellery, and sequin. oh, and there will be action…

i am very excited and probably should go to bed cause my call time is 9 a.m.

i got an email today from jeanne, the owner of hitch couture. she asked me to shoot for her next week, so that’s exciting :) the clothes are very cute and she’s also letting me pick some yay! i will be shooting with a great photographer who i will meet, and will be modeling with jael strauss, from america’s next top model from last year.

how interesting this industry is, and how small, that i will be working with jeanne and jael again. i met them when i modeled for hitch couture’s fashion show in los angeles a couple of months ago. jael was one of the runway models. that runway show was so fun. jeanne is so cool, she brought corona’s. for the models. how bad ass is that. though i did not drink, mostly everyone else did. it was so hilarious, us models trying to walk the runway without falling haha.
