hahaha well, that was one of my answers for a “job” interview today, my response to the question, “tell us something about you that we wouldn’t know”. thing is… i have a different job than most people, so i got away with it haha. my girlfriend adi made me realize that today, when i told my friends about it.
it was an audition/on-camera interview for a new tv show through a major, major tv network. i signed a confidentiality agreement, so once again i can’t talk/blog about it til it airs…. bleh!

it was such crazy day. i was spacing out and drove all the way to burbank on the freeway, missed my exit by a few cities haha. i exited and did a special u turn maneuver, then got pulled over by a cop for “not stopping by a pedestrian”… that i didn’t even see!!! i called bullshit on that. so i got a lovely ticket (pictured above…), AND was 1hr late for my interview.

my agent called me and i was gonna be ready to get yelled at by her for being late but she was in a good mood today. until of course the cd (casting director) gave me this 18 page contract for the tv show, and my agent asked me to fax it to her, but the cd said no and then my agent went 20% bananas. i love it that my agent cares for me so much and watches over my ass. she texted me “DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING PERIOD WITHOUT YOUR AGENT REVIEWING IT!” so they worked something out i guess. yay!

tomorrow i have a casting for a hulu commercial, wonder what they’ll make me do.

its crazy how now i’m getting involved with more contract stuff and its kinda scary. for some reason whenever i sign these contracts they say i cannot run for office for at least a year haha, and random stuff like that. i’m always scared i’m gonna get sued for something.

oh well when my shows air then ill be happy to show you all the pictures and give you the skinny on the behind the scenes drama haha.
for now…. we’ll just wait… aargh :)

not only a car. also a status symbol…. Lamborghini. and i got a feature role in their commercial :) woo hoo!
this was in march, but i finally put my new black apple macbook to use and realized i can edit videos like the speed of light!

so i made a little video a few days ago so you can all witness what it is like a little to be behind the scenes at the exciting shoot for the Lamborghini industrial.

here are more details, since i have received some emails from people asking me how it all went :)

THE CASTING
a week or so before the shoot, at the casting, i thought i blew it. the director, Peter Refle, was taking some polaroid-like shots. he then asked me to act a little aggressive. so i (yes) made a claw with my hand and hissed at him, just because i am danella and sometimes i don’t think. i of course was just joking. the fact that it was a multi-million dollar international client did not affect me and i was myself. i asked him if i can be a panther, he laughed and then said perfect perfect as he was taking the shots.
as i was walking to my car i was thinking how i probably blew it and how my manager would have choked me with his bare hands had he witness it, one of the casting associates called me, asking me to come back – they wanted to check my nails real quick to see what manicure they wanted to give me – i was booked. :)
i did not know this, until my manager called me while i was driving. i thank my grandparents for being italian, as my name and mediterranean genetics probably helped me get the job (and my panther move, of course).

THE FITTING
i am tired of writing about myself already, so you must be tired of reading. so i’ll keep it simple. fittings are usually not very exciting anyway :). at the fitting, i tried on systematically over twenty designer dresses and some fancy accessories, jewelery, and shoes. the wardrobe stylist and her assistant were very knowledgeable and cool.
the day after i went to get my manicure somewhere in beverly hills. they paid for it, so it was nice, but the traffic on the way back home…. ugh…. not very nice.

THE SHOOT
the shoot lasted 3 or 4 days, and i had to go in for two days. it was the last days of march. the first day i shot in was near LAX, under the freeway :) it was so much fun, i was the principal and only actress there, so i got to meet the client, talk to the director, crew, precision drivers, and walk around. everyone was very sweet. the clients were all happy i actually spoke italian, so during lunch we were just talking about lamborghini’s.

i was a little mad because i was in make up and wardrobe while the precision drivers were doing all kinds of car tricks, donuts, and speeding, so i missed the maniac moves. at least i got to hear them, their engines were extremely loud :)

on my second day, it was a much longer day. there were two other actresses, as well as about 25 extras. the three of us girls pretty much stayed hanging out in the wardrobe trailer with the wardrobe stylists and mua’s (make up artists) for most of the day, since our last shot was a night shot. they were all such fun people! the 2 girls were super sweet, and beautiful.

i don’t feel 24 at all. can’t believe i am only one day away from officially becoming 24, and closer to a quarter of a century.
with age comes wisdom, so with grace i embrace my years…. but i do not feel my age for some reason. i feel both younger and older…. odd, i know.

so, why am i up at 2:30 am, when i have a photo shoot the next day at 8:30am? well i just thought i would write some last words before i engage on the busy weekend.

since this week (and last) had been slow, i was starting to worry. but then, SURPRISE! on wednesday evening, ladies and gentlemen, i booked 3 jobs for the next two days. :)
about time dammit! i hadn’t worked for over a week! – except i was at home doing major cleaning, and doing some graphic and web design.

i am a foster mom for 5 kitties! they have kept me very busy and they are lovely. i am looking for homes for them. full story to come up. i am just glad to save them, they were two hours away from being killed at the shelter.

another story… i went to a wedding this week, of two friends, and so we had many friends from the east coast come over, and we celebrated for 5 days. i am exhausted. the wedding was beautiful and i am so happy for them. but yes, i did enough partying for the rest of ‘08 haha.

i hate tanning, but i went to the beach twice and to the pool last week, and so, i am quite two toned right now (my ass is still white). quite wonderful.

last week i don’t think i worked at all. only went to 2 auditions (mc donald’s, jonas bros. video). i just felt on vacation mode all week. i had like 4 other castings but i said f it! i was too busy with other stuff at Zoe. i also was cast today for a foo fighters video but i did not feel like working on a sunday, so i told them no (it was not a lead role, otherwise I would have done it).

so today i had 4 castings scheduled. unfortunately, i could only attend 3.
i was very busy in the morning, so i left my house at 1pm, and came back at 6. it is very sad to say that because i live in los angeles, i spent almost 5 of those hours driving. (well, i did stop by the pet store on the way back…)

i went to my first casting, it was for an energy drink advertisement. i don’t remember if i was not allowed to talk about it publicly, so i won’t say the name. anyway. so, when i was being semi-interviewed by the casting director, he asked me if i had had that energy drink. of course, i opted by answering what first came to mind, and instead of being smart and saying, “yes i have! i really like it” i said, “no… i don’t like energy drinks. i am naturally hyper”.
not the best answer but oh well. he handed me one, and i drank it. it was like sprite. actually good, and bubbly.
he took pictures of me with the drink. nice and quick.

on my way back to the car (on hollywood blvd), i slipped and ate shit and a guy right in front of the scientology center or whatever that cult is, who was giving out leaflets, laughed at me. pretty hard. well it was raining A LOT, and i was wearing my cute little boots. i forgive you, bastard, cause i laugh as hard when other people fall.
i did not spill my energy drink cause i had already chugged it in the elevator. ha!

ok, so today i had two biggies.
in the afternoon i drove to hollywood to a casting for a target tv commercial. they needed tall fashion models for a spring tv spot. i was there for 15 minutes. it was quick and painless. signed in. polaroid. then, on camera, i had to walk runway style, and then dance. i don’t think i’ll get it, cause there are girls that look much more high fashion than me. this is where my boobs will probably fail me at getting me a job haha. but i went anyway cause it was a very very nice pay and i had nothing to lose ;)

then i drove to culver city. for some reason, i had NO idea it was for levi’s jeans. i thought it was for a jewellery company haha what an idiot. i was probably spaced out when tereza (my agent) called me.
when i got there, i saw and talked to my girlfriend and former co-model from uberwarning, silvy kas. she was gorgeous as always.
inside, i was happy again i only waited 5 minutes. i signed in, got polaroid, and put a pair of levi’s on. then, on camera, i had to walk, punch myself on the face, and like it. nice tv commercial. i hope i get it cause i think the little masochist in me wants to! haha

seriously if i put together all the videos for all the castings i have done, it would be the most amazing, random, ridiculous, black-mailing-prone footage you’ve ever seen of me.

the best so far was when i did a casting for burger king, last november. i waited 40 minutes for my spot. then, in the shooting room, the prop was a freaken burger [remember i am vegetarian?]. i went as far as actually sitting down, picking up the burger, and then – before the bite – asking “do you have a veggie patty?”. how much more stupid can i get? i don’t know. i don’t think i got that one (i walked away anyway, ha!).
