we shot all day, from 9 to 9, in a location studio, a set built to make it look like a city from the middle east (look at the pictures). there were 10 girls, representing different countries. i was brazil yeah! we wore very stereotypical outfits, including weapons. bad ass.
we started out all pretty…. but we all kicked each others asses by the end of the song. it was so fun because in the morning we got all dolled up in the make up room, but through the day, the make up artists and hair stylists would literally f us up – bloody lips, black eyes, smeared make up, cuts with dripping blood, ripped clothes, etc. we were fighting for the crown.

four of the girls were stunt girls, we had to fight in some scenes – but not the typical girl fight. the stunt girls set up a semi choreographed fight – and we all would choke, stab, punch, and kick each other, pull each others hair, etc. i broke my shoes, my necklace ripped, scraped my leg, and lost my machete. my “brazil” badge was torn apart. but we all liked it. then we had to do it over again haha (there were many takes for our fights, which i was happy about).

the band members, ollie, thom, steve, and matt, were such cool guys. they were very fun to be with. we were all pretty much hanging out all day, so we talked a lot about really random stuff. the girls were super nice, we had so much fun being countries. they all looked beautiful, and were very upbeat and professional. the crew (over 40 people) was super positive, friendly, attentive, and experienced.

it was a very awesome and long day and i don’t even know how i have energy to write about it. i am pretty tired, but glad that i don’t have any work tomorrow.
oh yeah, jeanne called me – i’m shooting for hitch couture with jael strauss this friday. i’m glad it worked out!

the band’s album release party is at the roxy in los angeles, on march 18. rock/indie.
